Community Tree Counseling provides compassionate individual and relationship counseling tailored to each person’s goals and circumstances. In individual therapy, we help clients explore emotions, identify unhelpful patterns, build coping skills, and set practical steps toward greater well-being and resilience. In relationship counseling, we work with partners and families to improve communication, resolve conflicts, rebuild trust, and develop shared strategies for strengthening connection. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or relational issues, our approach is collaborative, confidential, and grounded in proven therapeutic methods to support lasting, meaningful change.

Insurance:

Community Tree Counseling is an in-network provider for : Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medica, Medical Assistance, Optum, UCare, United Behavioral Health, and United Healthcare which means we able to submit claims for in-network reimbursement to your insurance company. Any other insurance companies not listed (such as Cigna and Health Partners), Community Tree Counseling is NOT in-network but can still submit claims for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider. If insurance companies decline to pay for services, you are still responsible for paying for services provided to you.

We recommend that clients contact their insurance company to verify coverage BEFORE beginning therapy services.  Your insurance company can advise you about your in-network and out-of-network coverage including any deductibles, co-insurance, and/or co-pays that will apply to your therapy sessions.

Self-pay:

At Community Tree Counseling, you can absolutely choose to self-pay. If you intend to self-pay for therapy services, you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate prior to beginning our work together.  You can access a notice explaining your right to receive a Good Faith Estimate here.

Payments:

Self-pay and co-payments are due at the time of service.  If claims are submitted to your insurance company, your portion will be billed to you once the insurance company has processed the claim, and you have 30 days to pay any bill. Payment may be made by cash, check, credit card, or HSA debit card.

Cancellation Policy: 24 hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments. Cancellations or missed appointments without 24 hour notice will be billed at the full session rate.  Cancellation fees are the responsibility of the client and cannot be billed to insurance.
